AWS Bedrock Support: Call Summarization Model

We integrated AWS Bedrock to develop a new call summarization model using the Bedrock LLM. This enhancement replaces the existing Azure-based solution as the default solution, achieving feature parity while improving cost, quality, flexibility, and reliability.

Key Features:

  • Call Summarization with AWS Bedrock: The new model leverages Anthropic's Claude 3 Sonnet LLM, delivering improved summarization quality, reduced costs, and enhanced reliability over the Azure-based solution.
  • Scalable and Flexible: This AWS Bedrock model offers greater flexibility with customizable prompts and is designed for future expansion to other LLMs.
  • Improved Output Quality: The model generates high-quality, coherent summaries without hallucinations or inappropriate content, ensuring redacted tokens (e.g., "[REDACTED]") are excluded.

API Enhancements for Bedrock and Azure Compatibility

Updated /intervals/summary API: The /intervals/summary API now supports both Bedrock and Azure services for seamless integration across platforms.

Backward Compatibility: The API has been updated as follows:

  • Removal of Summary Display Name: Included for Azure but removed for Bedrock.
  • Summary Created Time: Unchanged and included for Azure, but removed for Bedrock.

Benefits:

  • Consistency Across Platforms: The updates enhance alignment between Bedrock and Azure, improving API efficiency and consistency.
  • Backward Compatibility: Existing systems using the /summary API will function without disruption, regardless of the service.

Notes: No changes are needed for Azure applications. Bedrock updates focus on omitting specific attributes for improved compatibility.

Update to Reset Filter Functionality

We’re excited to announce an enhancement to the Reset Filters functionality in the Intelligence and Search tool! Now, clicking Reset Filters will automatically set the default date range to Yesterday, replacing the previous default of the past 12 months.
